People from all walks of life can be diagnosed as autistic. Current data shows that First Nations people are under-diagnosed and in some communities autism is still relatively unheard of. Mistrust in people or fear of shame and blame can all be challenges in accessing services and diagnosis.

Positive Partnerships has a First Nations Reference Group. They provide valued input and feedback through consultations and development of tools and resources.
