My Name is Jerome Hunter.

I’m a Naajuga Yamitji and Bardi father of 3 and dad/guga to many.

Rubibi (Broome) is where I live, but my families are from Moonie Mia(North Hampton), Djardijin & Aardyaloon. My connection to this world is through my oldest son, he was assessed & diagnosed at 2.5 years old. The old people say these little ones have magic and I believe that too.

Currently, my role is with Murdoch University’s Ngangk Yira Institute for Change as an Equine Assisted Learning field researcher / Practitioner. My work involves running a program called Yawardani Jan-ga (Yarwuru language - ‘Horses Healing’) to support young people and youths' spiritual wellbeing, supporting the healing journey.
