Sharing of Ideas

St Georges Road Primary School in Shepparton is currently half way through the Positive Partnerships Whole School and Community program. Their entire school staff of 60 people, including the leadership team, teacher assistants, office staff as well as teachers from their English Language Centre, all attended the initial two day training together in April. This very dynamic and innovative group engaged in robust table discussions and the sharing of ideas around improved home school partnerships and the implementation of the ‘storyboard’ throughout their classrooms.

Eight key staff members have now stepped forward to complete the Next Step training and are currently planning and promoting their first Parent and Community workshop held at St Georges Road. The Next Step facilitators are very excited to be engaging in further learning with their very diverse group of parents and carers and community members using Positive Partnerships tools and resources for both Aboriginal peoples and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities.
