Positive Partnerships working in collaboration with Autism CRC

Positive Partnerships and the Cooperative Research Centre for Living with Autism (Autism CRC) are currently collaborating together to help extend research into areas disadvantaged by language and distance. The Autism CRC is the world’s first cooperative research effort focused on autism across the lifespan. We will be collaborating with them on specific research projects from their Education Program 2. For more information on this exciting collaboration go to http://www.positivepartnerships.com.au/extending-outreach-communities-disadvantaged-distance-and-language

The Autism CRC is currently looking for schools interested in being involved in a research project on Transition Models of Practice. This project will assist  teachers to use models of best practice to support learners with autism transition between Prep and Year 1 or from Year 7 to Year 8. Remote and regional schools in NSW, Qld and Vic, who are expecting learners with autism in Prep or Year 7 in 2017, are invited to contact Keely Harper-Hill  at keely.harperhill@qut.edu.au  or (07) 3138 3046 to find out more about this or any other Autism CRC projects.
