People from culturally & linguistically diverse communities

Culturally diverse Mother and facilitator embrace at a workshop

We undertake detailed planning with culturally and linguistically diverse communities to make sure workshop experiences are as relevant as possible.

Positive Partnerships has worked with a range of stakeholders to gain insight into cultural perspectives on disability and the challenges for families, schools and service providers.

Consultation has so far seen the rollout of workshops, resources and projects to meet the needs of families from Turkish, Arabic and Vietnamese communities. Our emphasis on working collaboratively aims to increase understanding and awareness of autism and an openness and confidence to use this knowledge to support children in their families, schools and communities.
