Patricia Lee - Project Officer, Multicultural Programs

Why Positive Partnerships?

I believe in equality and education. Education can change people’s life. The primary work of Positive Partnerships is to improve the education outcomes of school aged students on the autism spectrum, which makes me love being part of the team. Also, it’s a great opportunity to work with and learn from a group of passionate and seasoned educators and professionals who always carry a beautiful smile. (Please take a look at their photos.)

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

In this role, I hope to make a difference in people’s lives. If this role can help even a little bit in making a change for families and schools and ultimately support improving the education outcomes of children, especially in Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, then it’ll be the best reward I could ask for.

What has inspired you in the past?

Some of my friends have children on the autism spectrum and I’ve been fortunate enough to share in their triumphs and challenges over a number of years. They have always inspired me to contribute to making a difference wherever I can.

What is your new role and what does it involve?

My new role is Projects Officer – CALD Programs. I am part of the national team that supports communication and stakeholder engagement activities targeting CALD communities. The ultimate goal is to support the development of partnerships between home and school, which will improve the learning outcomes of school aged students on the autism spectrum.
