Here is a list of frequently asked questions about our online learning.

What is Positive Partnerships online learning?

Not everyone can make it to a face-to-face workshop or professional learning session. We have adapted the evidence-based material we use at our workshops so that anyone can access it through this website.

How do I sign up for it?

Click the register button and follow the prompts until you are logged in. You will receive confirmation that your registration is successful.

I’ve registered before but am having trouble logging back in. Why can’t I log in?

First of all, make sure you are using the correct log in information.  If you’ve forgotten your password, simply select the forgotten password link and we’ll send a new one to your registered email address.

Sometimes, trouble logging in can be because of high security settings on your computer or server that cause the pop up window for the log in screen to be blocked. Try using a different search engine, for example if you are using Internet Explorer, try logging on through Mozilla or Google Chrome instead.  Alternatively, try logging in from another location, i.e. from home if you are trying from a school or workplace.

When I log in it is saying my account is archived.  What does this mean?

If you haven’t logged in for a while, your account may become inactive.  Please let us know by emailing and we will reactivate your account for you.

Why can’t I download or watch the videos?

High security settings on your computer or server may cause problems when trying to download or watch videos.  This is quite common in schools and workplaces.  Try accessing the site on a different computer, for instance your home computer. You can also try accessing the site through another search engine.  For example, if you are using Internet Explorer, try using Mozilla or Google Chrome.

If you have a slow download speed, try watching the videos selecting the low resolution option.

I’m a teacher. Are any of your online courses accredited?

Our Introduction to Autism course is formally accredited by the NSW Institute of Teachers. Other organisations and institutions may recognise our online courses towards professional learning hours, however, it is up to you to discuss this with the organisation concerned.

How do I print a certificate after I’ve completed the Introduction to Autism course?

Once you’ve completed this particular course, the option to print a certificate should appear automatically.  If this doesn’t happen, or you want to print it later, select the Online Courses option from the top menu bar then select the Introduction to Autism course.  You should then see a box on the right hand side showing Complete.  Underneath this and next to the open button there is a certificate icon.  Click on the word certificate and a new window will open showing your certificate ready to be printed.  Also be aware that you will require a pdf reader (e.g. Adobe Reader) to be able to view and print the certificate.

Who can access online learning and how much does it cost?

Anyone can access all of the information and courses on our site regardless of whether they are a parent, a teacher or just interested in learning more about children on the autism spectrum.  There is no cost involved in registering or completing any of our online courses as the site is completely funded by the Australian Government.
