Chris Champion - National Coordinator, Projects and Innovation

Tell us about your previous roles

I’ve worked in the education sector for more than 25 years in a variety of roles ranging from classroom teacher to Principal. The last 10 years I spent as a National Coordinator of KidsMatter Primary, a mental health and wellbeing initiative for primary schools.

What personal values and attributes do you bring to the role?

I’m a people person at heart. I enjoy learning something new every day and most importantly finding moments to laugh every day.

I enjoy working with people to achieve great things; sharing a common purpose that continues to drive everything we do.

What inspires you to make a difference?

If even the smallest amount of the work we do in Positive Partnerships has a positive impact on the lives of young people on the autism spectrum and their families, then it was worth doing.

What’s something not many people know about you?

I enjoy dabbling in children’s story book writing, but the rejection letters got the better of me over time!!
